Following on from "Rise Up, the World Is Waiting for You", I want to tell you this: what you have to offer the world, it is now that it needs it. Today is the day you must prepare yourself to take up, tomorrow, the choice place that is yours by right.
That place is yours, true enough. Alas, it will not wait for you forever. Right now is when you must begin to picture your projects, so as to bring them about later.
If you need to take classes, sign up.
If you need a mentor, go looking for one.
If you need to travel, do it.
If you need to set out just as you are, go for it.
If you need to go into business, take the plunge.
The world is in constant evolution and knowledge is refined from one day to the next. Every day we spend without learning something new does us harm. Once you have lost a day, you are no longer standing where you were: you have just moved backwards.
Day after day, thousands of businesses are born. And every day too, millions of businesses die. But at least they will have lived for a moment, through the initiative of someone like you.
Are you going to go on letting your project ideas sleep inside your head?
Are you going to leave in your computer all the projects you have thought up?
Are you going to give in to this difficulty you are facing?
Are you going to give up after investing all that money and all that time?
Allow me to answer in your place: NO! Every bit of money, every bit of energy, every bit of time invested must bear fruit. Lessons come out of failure. But what comes out of giving up is nothing at all.
The world moves at a frantic pace that allows for no laziness, no weariness, no giving up. The world is a jungle. Every day you spend not thinking about your growth and your flourishing is a day lost. How many days would you want to lose in your life of a few short years? Out of the 365 days in a year, how many would you be willing to sacrifice doing nothing to claim your place in the world?
It is fundamentally our own responsibility to make the proper arrangements to fulfil ourselves, to carry out a mission we have set for ourselves and to serve a cause somewhere, at some given moment.
When you devote all your time to musing over the right moment, the right means, the right amount, know that somewhere on Earth, someone has already set out with the little they have in the way of resources, means and time. You could have been the star of the century, but through your nonchalance and your procrastination, it has just been stolen from you.
Rise up, the world is waiting for you, but also, rise up, because the world is not waiting for you.
