Do not beg for the love of someone who has no time to devote to you; Or of someone who thinks only of himself. Never do it.
Someone who, through their indifference, gives you the impression that you are invisible and insignificant does not deserve you.
On the other hand, someone who grants you their attention, and at whose side you feel important and present, does deserve you. And that is the kind of person you must take care not to lose.
Love is meant to be shown, but never begged for. If you reach the point of begging for love, you are illustrating in the clearest of ways an emotional injustice. The imbalance of the feeling that cements a relationship.
Love expresses itself in gestures and in acts of presence, of support, of affinity and of solace. Do not stay in a relationship that gives you little or no room. Otherwise, you are alone in it.
They say that a lack of time does not exist; unlike a lack of interest. Indeed, when people truly love, they create the time: dawn becomes day, Tuesday becomes Saturday and a moment becomes an opportunity.
An opportunity to love, to celebrate, to put a smile on the other person’s lips. A chance, unique each time, to live a moment of joy endlessly renewed.
And when we love, the other person’s presence — physical, virtual or emotional — is always wished for. When we do not love, one person’s desire for presence is experienced by the other as an awkwardness, an intrusion, a burden, and one feels stifled.
They also say that the more we expect from others, the more we are disappointed and the more we suffer. So we must revise our expectations and tell ourselves that we should expect nothing from anyone, but everything from ourselves.
We are the architects of our own happiness. And every time we make our happiness conditional on someone else’s being online or on her messages, we mortgage that happiness.
In the end, it is simple: the person who deserves you is the one who, having the freedom to choose, draws close to you, appreciates you, devotes time to you and thinks of you. And should that come to be lacking, do not beg for love all the same.
