LOSING A MOM.

Martial ZounonBy Martial Zounon · December 14, 2021 · 1 min read

Losing a mom,
Is a feeling gone mad.
A grief from which no one is exempt.
A sensation that never relents.

Losing a mom,
Is to live through a vicious nightmare.
Is to sink into a chasm.
A deep chasm in which one suffers.

Losing a mom,
Is to take up one’s life differently.
Is to explore new emotions,
Is to lose a good many convictions.

Losing a dear mother,
Is to lose one’s bearings.
Is to lose a source of inspiration.
Is to mislay one’s very first motivation. Mum2

Losing a mom, in itself,
Is to lose a little of oneself.
Losing a mom, for myself,
Literally made me lose my faith!

Let us admit that a mom once lost
Means sobs that go on and on.
Days, and weeks, that drag on.
Is to live with a part of one’s soul handed over.

Losing a mom,
Comes down to this in the end:

Realizing that she has departed
Then living with it contradicted.
It is, in fact, to exist alongside denial.
The denial of a separation unacceptable,
Which causes a pain most lamentable
At having lost a being irreplaceable.

That is what losing a mom is!
It is to change for good!
