YOUR INNER VOICE (Part 2).

Martial ZounonBy Martial Zounon · November 4, 2022 · 2 min read

The first part of "Your Inner Voice" recounted a situation I lived through, one in which my inner voice clearly led me astray.

In each of the situations we find ourselves in, our inner voice dictates things to us and sometimes pushes us to make decisions that are plainly at odds with our conscious will.

This inner voice is so strong in some people that it saturates every one of their acts and every one of their thoughts. This inner voice, which we unfortunately confuse with intuition, must be mastered.

Intuition, in fact, is a continuous, almost unconscious flow that helps position thought in relation to the outside world. Whereas the inner voice is a kind of speech we address to ourselves and within ourselves. We go along with it because it concerns worries we genuinely have, but it disturbs us because we would like to interrupt it.

To interrupt that inner voice, precisely, we must become aware of it and work at mastering it. To that end, it is important to practise psychological reprogramming.

Psychological reprogramming means dictating positive sentences to your brain through repeated conscious actions. I offer an exercise in it at the end of this article.

Our inner voice is strong and disturbing. That is why it must be tamed and made to profess positive things rather than negative ones. Our opinions build or destroy reputations; we therefore have every interest in cleaning them up.

All in all, here is what should be kept in mind:

When the thoughts are salacious
Reject them! It had better grate on you.
And when the thoughts are sagacious.
Keep them! It had better not grate on you.

Appearances are deceptive, and so we should not let our thoughts wander at the mercy of circumstances. We must bring them back to conscious obedience through sentences such as:

"I control my thoughts and I steer them towards positive subjects.
Every unhealthy, out-of-place thought that crosses my mind is automatically replaced by a good thought.
My consciousness guides my inner voice towards blessings for those close to me and for myself.
I am a representation of the divine being within me, and no toxic thought can taint my mission of joy and happiness to be spread abroad.
I have full control of my life and my thoughts do not get away from me.
My thoughts reveal the love in every being I come across.
I think exactly what I want to think and I say exclusively what I want to say."

Repeat this three (3) times every morning and evening, and that for twenty-one (21) days without fail, and watch your reality and your mind change, literally.
